BCHS mission statement:
“The object of this Society shall be to bring together those people interested in history, and especially the history of Buffalo County and the State of Nebraska. Understanding the history and preservation of the history of our community is basic to our democratic way of life and gives us a better appreciation of our American heritage.”

Memorial Day through Labor Day:
Monday-Saturday 10 am to 6 pm
and Sundays from 1-5 pm
Monday 1-4 pm

September through May:

Monday-Friday 1-5 pm
Mondays 1-4 pm

$7 for adults;
$2 children ages 12 and under;

Under 2 years old is FREE
Free for BCHS members.

Nebraska's Sesquicentennial


"150 Nails"

To celebrate Nebraska's 150th anniversary of statehood, the Buffalo County Historical Society is having a "150 Nails" contest. Participants will use 150 nails to create unique works of art that will be exhibited at the Trails & Rails Museum during the 2017 Wagons West Celebration.
